We are a British company and not usually ones to blow our own trumpet, but some news deserves sharing. Good Housekeeping, one of Britain's best known consumer magazines, named our f10 Handheld Clothes Steamer its Best Clothes Steamer 2025.
The f10 is sold in the UK rather than the UAE, so this post explains what the award was for, what it says about the way we design garment care, and which Fridja steamer to choose if you live here.
What Good Housekeeping said
The f10 scored 90 out of 100 in Good Housekeeping's testing. In their words:
"The compact F10 put in a brilliant performance in our lab, eradicating all creases from every fabric except cotton (although it still did a good job). It preheated quickly and its smaller head offered better manoeuvrability than some of its competitors, allowing it to reach every nook and cranny. It has two power modes and comes with plenty of useful accessories, including a collar press."
It was not the first time Good Housekeeping had featured us. Fridja had already appeared in their guide to the best juicers, so seeing our steamer recognised too was a lovely moment for the team.
Fridja's garment care heritage
Fridja has been making home appliances since 2010, and garment care is a big part of our story. Clothes steamers were what our founder, Ben Fridja, pitched on BBC Dragons' Den in July 2015, and Fridja products have since featured in Good Housekeeping, the Daily Mail, Vogue and GQ.
The thinking behind the f10 runs through all our steamers: heat up quickly, be simple to use, and treat fabric gently, so the iron and the ironing board can stay in the cupboard.
Which Fridja steamer to buy in the UAE
In the UAE we sell the f1200 Clothes Steamer Pro. It is a different product from the f10: an upright steamer designed for hanging garments at home rather than a compact handheld for travel. To be clear, the Good Housekeeping award went to the f10, not the f1200.
The f1200 suits UAE homes well:
- Long garments such as abayas, kanduras, saris and wedding dresses hang at full length while you steam.
- Chiffon, silk and georgette can be smoothed without the shiny marks an iron can leave.
- Suits, office shirts and school uniforms are ready in minutes before the morning rush.
- Curtains can be steamed while they hang on the rail.
